The short answer
What This Business Actually Is
The Chart Whisperer (TCW) is a one-person trading education business run by Charles V. from Canada. It sells rule-based trading protocols for BTC, ETH, SOL and Gold (XAUUSD) perpetual futures, a TradingView indicator, a scanner, and one-on-one coaching. It does not sell signals, it does not manage anyone's money, and it does not run a Discord.
The performance figures it publishes come from a four-book walk-forward backtest of 6,147 setups across six and a half years of public exchange data. That backtest is not a live track record and it has not been audited by a third party. The site says so on its own results page, and it says so here. Every purchase carries a 24-hour refund window for any reason, and it can be reached at hello@chartwhisperer.ca with a 24-hour reply commitment.
The record
Four Books. Every Number With Its n.
A win rate without a sample size is not a claim, it is a fragment. Here is the whole set, baseline first, with the ninety-five per cent confidence interval beside it. The full tables, the exit distribution, the regime split and the year-by-year breakdown are on the protocol results page.
| Book | Setups | Win rate | 95% CI | Expectancy | Max drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | n=2,009 | 65.8% | 63.7–67.8% | +0.250R | −15.51R |
| ETH | n=1,618 | 68.3% | 66.1–70.6% | +0.321R | −14.70R |
| SOL | n=724 | 67.4% | 64.1–70.7% | +0.297R | −12.94R |
| Gold · XAUUSD | n=1,796 | 64.7% | 62.5–66.9% | +0.315R | −7.69R |
| All four | n=6,147 | 66.3% | 65.1–67.5% | +0.293R | −20.15R |
The parts a sceptic would go looking for
Of those 6,147 setups, 2,071 lost. The average loss is bigger than the average win — −1.153R against +1.028R — so the edge is carried by frequency of winners, not by size of them. The portfolio gave back 20.15R at its worst point and there was a run of eight losing trades in a row. If any of that is disqualifying for you, it should be, and better to find it here than four modules in.
Trading perpetual futures involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance — including documented win rates — does not guarantee future results.
Limits
What These Numbers Are Not
Not audited
No third party has verified the backtest. There is no auditor's letter and this page will not pretend there is one. What exists is a defined rule set applied to public exchange data, with no refit between periods and no trades removed after the fact.
Not a live track record
Charles V. trades the protocol with his own capital. Those account statements are private and no claim on this site rests on them. Treat every published figure as a backtest, because that is what it is.
Not student results
None of the numbers above came from a customer's account. They are what the protocol did on historical candles. What a given trader does with the same rules is a separate question and nobody here can answer it for you.
Not a signal service
There are no alerts, no copy trading, no managed accounts and no Discord. You are buying a method and the work of learning it. If you wanted someone to tell you what to buy this morning, this is the wrong shop.
Students
One Voice on the Record. Not a Wall of Them.
Six years of teaching happened privately, long before this site existed, and those students never signed up to become marketing. Public booking is new. One student, Drew, has agreed to let his sessions be published, which is why there is one voice here instead of thirty. Nothing was recorded for marketing and nothing was asked for. It is unedited, the language gets blunt, and it is published with his written permission.

What People Have Said on Reddit
Upfront, so nobody has to work it out: most of these sit on a post on my own Reddit profile, and I moderate that post, which means I could in principle have buried anything I did not like. So the quotes are short and every one links straight to the comment. Open the whole thread and read the lot, including the parts that are not here. Two of them were posted in r/traders, which I do not moderate and cannot touch.
“What stood out most was connecting volume with the price displacement it produces, and not simply treating high volume as strength, but reading the effort against the resulting movement to better understand momentum and directional efficiency.”
and again in r/traders, a sub I do not moderate
“Last session was very useful, please count me in for the upcoming ones.”
“This great stuff. I found the website really useful to help build my foundational knowledge.”
“He taught me how to trade from zero, no experience before him, just noise in my head, ICT terms, Elliott Wave, Wyckoff, none of it connected to anything. He gave me a way to actually decide, rules made before the trade exists instead of during it. A year in, still learning, but I think clearer now. I know why I’m taking a trade instead of just feeling it out.”
On Reddit that comment now has no name on it. Drew’s account was banned, and neither of us knows why, so the thread shows it as posted by a deleted user. The words are still there and the link above still opens them. It is named here because Drew is the same student whose unedited session recordings and full transcript are already published on this site with his written permission. You can read it on Reddit, and you can listen to him.
Open that thread and you will see several comments with no name on them, and two marked removed by a moderator. I did not remove either of those, and I have not removed anything on that thread — Reddit’s automated moderation took them, and it took the accounts too. Drew is one of the people it happened to. They were all in the group classes and they all still turn up. So the names are gone and the people are not, and what survives there is thinner than what actually happened. That reads badly written down, which is exactly the reason to write it down rather than quietly quote whoever is left and hope nobody looks.
Independent checks
Where You Can Check This Yourself
None of these are controlled by this website. They are the public places the same person posts under the same name, going back further than the domain does. Take them for what they are.
There is no Trustpilot page yet and there is no review wall on this site, because a review wall you cannot verify is worth nothing. The free six-day course, the tape reading drill and the whole Trading University are published before purchase so you can judge the teaching without paying for it.

Who You Are Buying From
The domain is new and the teaching is not. Both of those are stated here rather than left for you to work out, because the first is the kind of thing that looks worse when somebody else finds it.
Common Questions
Questions People Ask Before Buying
Is The Chart Whisperer a real business?
Yes. The Chart Whisperer is a one-person trading education business run by Charles V. from Canada, selling digital trading protocols, a TradingView indicator, a scanner and one-on-one coaching. It publishes a named operator, a working email at hello@chartwhisperer.ca answered within 24 hours, a 24-hour refund policy, full terms, a licence and a risk disclosure. The same person posts publicly under the same name on TradingView, YouTube, Reddit and LinkedIn, further back than this domain goes.
Are the published win rates audited?
No. The figures come from a four-book walk-forward backtest of 6,147 setups on public exchange data between January 2020 and August 2026, and no third party has verified them. They are not a live track record and they are not student results. Every rate is published with its sample size and its confidence interval, and the losing side is published with it: 2,071 of those 6,147 setups lost, and the portfolio drawdown reached 20.15R. The full tables are on protocol results.
Are there independent customer reviews?
One, on the record, with permission. Six years of coaching happened privately before this site existed and those students never agreed to be published. Drew is the first who did, and his session recordings run unedited with a full transcript on the coaching page. There is no review wall here because an unverifiable wall of praise is worth less than one voice you can actually hear. The free material is published in full so the teaching can be judged before any money changes hands.
Can I get a refund?
Within 24 hours of purchase, yes, for any reason and with no explanation required. Downloading the files, opening the protocol or accepting a TradingView invite does not void it. After 24 hours sales are final, because the material can be copied in full within minutes of delivery. Technical failures, duplicate purchases and unauthorised transactions are honoured regardless of the window. The full policy is on the refund page.
Does The Chart Whisperer sell signals or manage money?
No. There is no signal service, no copy trading, no managed accounts, no profit share and no Discord. What is sold is a defined rule set and the material to learn it, plus coaching for people who want it taught directly. No individualised financial advice is given, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
The website looks new. How long has this been running?
The domain was registered in March 2026. The teaching behind it started in 2019 and ran privately for six years before any of it was published, which is why the site is newer than the work. The public history sits on the platforms rather than on the domain: TradingView, YouTube, Reddit, Medium, Substack and Quora, all under the same name. The backtest itself covers January 2020 to August 2026.
Who is this not for?
Anyone looking for entries to copy, a fast result, or a system that removes the work. The protocol is a rule set that has to be learned, backtested by the person using it, and then traded through losing runs that the published record says will happen. If reading that 2,071 of 6,147 setups lost makes the whole thing unattractive, that is the correct reaction and it is better reached now than after a purchase.
